How to convert emails to PDF on a Mac
Your emails never leave your computer.
Short answer: For one email, use File then Export as PDF (Apple Mail) or Print then Save as PDF (Outlook). For many emails, open Emails2PDF in Safari or Chrome: connect your Outlook account, or drag the emails from Apple Mail into a Finder folder and upload the .eml files. Every email becomes its own searchable PDF with its attachments saved beside it.
One email
- Apple Mail: open the email, choose File, then Export as PDF.
- Outlook for Mac: open the email, choose Print, then PDF and Save as PDF.
Attachments are not part of these PDFs; save them separately.
Many emails from Outlook for Mac
- Open emails2pdf.com/app in Safari or Chrome and click Connect Outlook. This works for Microsoft 365, work, school and Outlook.com accounts.
- Choose a folder and a date range, and click Export.
Many emails from Apple Mail
- Select the emails in Apple Mail and drag them into a folder in Finder. Each one is saved as an .eml file.
- Open emails2pdf.com/app, sign in, choose Upload a mailbox file, and select all the .eml files.
- Click Export.
Either way, each email becomes a searchable PDF, its attachments are saved as the original files, and a spreadsheet lists every email. Nothing is installed and nothing is uploaded: it runs in your browser.
